Issuance of Entry Visa for Bhutan

The Community of Evaluators – South Asia and the Gross National Happiness Commission of Bhutan will facilitate issuance of entry visas for those who are registered for the Evaluation Conclave, 2017. The Gross National Happiness Commission, Royal Government of Bhutan would like to inform the intended participants that the Department of Immigration will consider providing visa up to 10 days (inclusive of arrival and exit days) due to flight scheduling limitations etc., if requested by the participants.

The visa application process is provided below.
1. Participants must duly register themselves for the Evaluation Conclave, 2017. Online registration and payment
    facility are available at http://evaluationconclave.com/2017/index.php/registrations.

2. Download the Visa Application form < CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD >
3. Complete the Visa Application form, sign it, attach a passport size photo and together with the bio page of the
    passport, make a single pdf file. The passport should be valid for at least six months from the time of exit from
    Bhutan. This electronic file should be named with your surname.

4. Please send the electronic file containing the completed application form and the bio page to

Nationals Exempt from prior visa to enter Bhutan.
* Bangladeshi, Maldivian and Indian nationals are not required to obtain prior visa when coming to Bhutan. The visa will by stamped upon arrival at the Paro International airport or any other port of entry by Immigration authorities;

* Thai and Swiss nationals holding official and diplomatic passports do not require a prior visa for entering Bhutan. The visa will by stamped upon arrival at the Paro International airport or any other port of entry by Immigration authorities. However, those carrying ordinary passports need to have Bhutanese visa obtained in advance.
